What are you training for?

Your reason doesn’t have to sound profound, and it doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. It simply has to matter to you.

Goals may bring us through the door, but along the way, training often gives us more than we originally came looking for.

So—what are you training for? Tell us below. ⬇️

Three-plus years of personal training has made Cheryl STRONG, and I have had the privilege of watching her build that strength one workout at a time.

Cheryl is a math teacher who spends her days pouring into her students, and she is also the proud mama of two high school boys. She works incredibly hard, cares deeply about other people, and still walks through the door with a smile on her face after already giving so much of her energy to others.

Over the years, the weights have gotten heavier, the exercises have gotten harder, and Cheryl has continued to rise to the challenge. Her strength today is the result of more than three years of consistency; she shows up, works hard, challenges herself, and keeps building.

That is one of my favorite things about training someone long-term. You get to see what happens when consistency stops being something you are trying to achieve and simply becomes part of what you do.

Cheryl, I am so proud of how strong you have become, but I am even more grateful for the kindness, joy, and genuine care for others that you bring with you. It has been such a privilege getting to coach you for the last three-plus years, and we’re not finished yet. 💪

Training isn’t just about changing how your body looks.

It’s about sleeping better. Moving with less pain. Feeling stronger. Breathing easier. Protecting your health. Clearing your mind. Keeping up with the people and life you love.

The way you look may change along the way—but there are so many bigger reasons to keep showing up.

Train for the life you want to keep living.

Why do you train?

ArmorFit will always be a place where you can strengthen more than your body.

We purchased Bibles for anyone who needs one. If you don’t have a Bible—or if you know someone who could use one—send us a message. We’ll make sure you get one.

They are completely free. No purchase, membership or explanation needed. They’re simply here to be read, shared and given away.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Fitness, yes. God, more.

This is what three months of work can look like.
August to November. Then November to February.

The middle photos matter because November wasn’t the finish line. It was evidence that her consistency was working—and a reason to keep going.

Progress rarely comes from one dramatic moment. It comes from showing up, doing the work and giving that work enough time to add up.

We’re incredibly proud of her—not only for the visible progress, but for the commitment it took to create it.

What could your next three months look like?

Two of our favorite movements: the Dead Bug and the Bird Dog.

These basic movements teach one of the most important skills we use in strength training: keeping the trunk stable while the arms and legs move.

The Dead Bug helps develop:

• Core control
• Rib and pelvis positioning
• Coordination between the upper and lower body
• The ability to resist excessive arching through the lower back

The Bird Dog adds:

• Cross-body coordination
• Shoulder and hip stability
• Balance and body awareness
• Control through the spine while moving opposite limbs

These movements can be adjusted for almost any fitness level—and progressed well beyond the basic versions shown here.

A strong core isn’t just about creating movement. It’s also about controlling movement—and these two exercises do that exceptionally well.
