A month ago, I started this journey at 179.4 lbs.

Today, I weighed in at 167.4 lbs.

That’s 12 pounds down while balancing:
📚 Graduate school
🙏🏾 Church convocation
💚 Sorority responsibilities
👩🏾‍🏫 Teaching
💍 Marriage
👩🏾‍👧🏾‍👦🏾 Motherhood
🏠 Real life

This month taught me something important:

You don’t need perfect conditions to make progress.

You don’t need more motivation.

You don’t need to wait until life slows down.

You just need to keep showing up.

Some days I meal prepped.
Some days I ate out.
Some days I hit 10,000 steps.
Some days I was exhausted.

But I never quit.

Progress so far:
⚖️ 179.4 ➡️ 167.4
🔥 Down 12 pounds
📏 Down inches
👗 XL/XXL ➡️ Large

A month ago, I weighed 179.4 lbs.

Today, I weighed 166.0 lbs.

That’s 13.4 pounds gone.

But the biggest transformation isn’t the number on the scale.

It’s the woman I’m becoming.

The woman who:
✅ Keeps going when life gets busy
✅ Chooses consistency over perfection
✅ Doesn’t quit after one off-plan meal
✅ Makes time for her health while balancing family, church, work, and school

This month hasn’t been easy.

There have been late nights, homework, travel, church every day, and plenty of opportunities to give up.

But I didn’t.

Today wasn’t one of those picture-perfect weight loss days.

It was laundry.
It was cooking.
It was church.
It was grabbing snacks between responsibilities.
It was doing the best I could with the day I had.

And you know what?

I’m still down 12.2 pounds. 🙌🏾

A lot of people quit because they think one imperfect day ruins their progress.

It doesn’t.

What matters is what you do most of the time, not what you do once in a while.

One month ago I started this journey at 179.4 lbs.

Today I weighed in at 166.4 lbs.

That’s 13 pounds gone. 💪🏾

This month hasn’t been perfect. I’ve balanced teaching, graduate school, church commitments, travel, family life, and plenty of busy days. But I kept showing up.

I’ve learned that fat loss isn’t about being perfect. It’s about making the next good choice and staying consistent long enough to see results.

The scale is down, my measurements are down, my clothes fit better, and I’m officially wearing a size Large instead of an XL/XXL.

If you’re a busy mom who feels like you don’t have time, I want you to know that progress is possible.

DAY 27 💗🔥

I stepped on the scale this morning and saw a number I haven’t seen in a long time…

⚖️ 167.0 lbs

That’s 12.4 pounds down from where I started 27 days ago.

But here’s what I’m most proud of:

I didn’t get here by being perfect.

I’ve had:
📚 Homework days
🚗 Travel days
🏥 Doctor appointments
💇🏾‍♀️ Hair appointments
🙏🏾 Church commitments
💗 Date nights with my husband

And I kept going anyway.

The old me would have thought one meal off plan or one busy day meant I had failed.

The new me understands that one meal doesn’t make you gain weight just like one salad doesn’t make you lose it.

Consistency wins.

Progress so far:

📏 2 inches off my waist
👗 XL/XXL ➡️ Large
