- Review Year's Accomplishments
- Discuss DNR's Options for Six Corner Cabin
- Review progress on new skijoring trail
- Review new BVSC ski merchandise available for order
- Vote on an amendment to the by-laws, discussed at the June Special Meeting
- Vote on new board members

PROPOSED AMENDMENT
The proposed Amendment to the by-laws is below in quotes:

ARTICLE V – BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Section 5.1 – General Powers. The business and affairs of the Corporation shall be managed by its Board of Directors. “When making critical decisions, if a membership Vote is taken, its purpose is for a decision on a specific action to be enacted by the Board. If a membership Survey is taken, its purpose is to gather insights and preferences about an issue, for the Board to make the final decision.”

AFTERHOURS OUTDOORS FITNESS GROUP
Brule Valley Ski Club


WHEN: Every Tuesday, 4:15-5:45 PM

WHERE: After Hours Ski Trails, Brule River State Forest
​Southwest of Highways 2 and 27 intersection in Brule WI

NON-WINTER SEASON:
o September 17- snow arrival
NON-WINTER ACTIVITIES:
o Hiking, Nordic pole hiking, Dry land training

WINTER SEASON: Snow arrival thorough snow departure (Dec or Jan through March or April)
WINTER ACTIVITIES:
o 4:14 ​Start at Ski Chalet
o Divide into groups: Classic Skis, Skate Skis, or Snowshoeing (no hiking)
o 4:30 ​Warm-up Ski
o 5:00 ​Ski Drills at NE Corner: confluence of North Loop/Aspen/ River/ East Loop
o 5:15 ​Free Ski, incorporating emphasis from drills
o 5:30​Finish at Ski Chalet
o Snacks, Drinks, Beer, Strength-balance exercises

SKI TECHNIQUES/ DRILLS: We will follow:
o CXC Academy’s ski drills, and strength/ balance exercises (cxcacademy.com)
o Endurance United’s Birkie preparation schedule, exercises (enduranceunited.org)
o Nordic Ski Lab drills (nordicskilab.com)
We highly encourage people to join one or more of these groups and watch the videos yourself.

COST: None, other than everyone needs to have a daily or annual After Hours ski pass.

BRING:
o Poles: Trekking poles, downhill ski poles, or Nordic poles
o Head lamps
o Snacks and drinks! We have hot chocolate, hot tea, and water.

Great crust skiing at Afterhours trail yesterday & this morning. Skating on the frozen crust was fast & fabulous. Pretty good control, not too icy, but still be careful on the downhills!

Should be great today & tomorrow! (No tracks however.)

Would you like to see a 2nd ski trail system in the Brule area in addition to Afterhours?

Let us know by a 👍 or 👎 or by leaving comments with us. A potential new trail would be located about 3 miles south of Brule, just off Hwy 27 and offer more hilly terrain w/some views of the Brule River valley (Big Lake area).
