As fast as the season kicked off, it wrapped up just as quickly, like someone yelled “snack time” and the universe hit fast‑forward. The 8U girls started the season a little wobbly, but the progress they made? Massive doesn’t even cover it.
We didn’t snag a win, but we did rack up some highlight‑reel moments just from this weekend:
Maggie’s home run — the kind that makes parents lose their voices.
Addy’s double play — smooth as butter.
Maizie’s love for pop‑ups — queen of the sky balls.
Sawyer’s triple and a sportsmanship chip — elite combo.
Bria taking a ball to the hand and shaking it off like a champ.
Many other tag outs and relays that made us all cheer like we were on ESPN.
The bats were blazing, even if my pitching was more “lukewarm microwave leftovers” than “heat wave.” But we made it work, and I couldn’t be prouder.
Thank you to our 8u parents! You really are some of the best! Already counting down to next season.
