Instead of tossing a ripped bait after a hard bite, keep a small torch handy.
​Melt: Tap the tear lightly with a mini torch.
​Bond: Press the seam together firmly for a few seconds.
​Quench: Dip it right into the cold water to lock the weld.
​Good as new, back on the hook, and ready to again
