Students from Lewis Institute/Tae Park Mid-South Tae Kwon Do Association recently traveled to The Republic of South Korea for an international Tae Kwon Do tournament. The tournament was held at The Taekwondowon complex in Muju, South Korea. There were about 40 countries present with around 1000 competitors that competed.
Union City, Tennessee resident Grand Master Dennis Lewis, who is an 8th Degree Black Belt, and one of the highest-ranking Grand Masters in the World, led a group of around 25 individuals from Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia and Alabama to this great event. Grand Master Lewis served as a Special V.I.P. and engaged in several meetings with The Korean Grand Masters to discuss future plans for Traditional Tae Kwon Do.
Grand Master Lewis's students won several medals and certificates in various competitions. Pictured from left to right:

Miss Anna McGowan: Gold Medal in Form Competition.

Master Amanda Spicer: Gold Medal in Form Competition. Master Spicer is the Head Instructor of Spicer Institute and member of Mid-South Tae Kwon Do located in Martin, Tennessee.

Master Terry Warmath who is the Head Instructor of Warmath Institute and member of Mid-South Tae Kwon Do located in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Grand Master Dennis Lewis, who is President and Founder of Lewis Institute Mid-South Tae Kwon Do Association. Grand Master Lewis has taught in this area for almost 40 years. He is a direct student of Grand Master Tae Zee Park for almost 50 years.

Master Daniel Arguera: Gold Medal in Form Competition. Master Arguera is the Head Instructor of Arguera Institute and member of Mid-South Tae Kwon Do located in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Mr. Payton Williams: Gold Medal in Form Competition.

Not pictured: Master Bruce Park Jr.: Gold Medal in Form Competition. Master Park Jr, is the Head Instructor of Park Institute and member of Mid-South Tae Kwon Do located in Georgia.

All of the students competed well, and everyone had a chance to visit several historical places while in Korea. Grand Master Lewis and Grand Master Park were very proud of all of the Mid-South student's dedication.
