We are asked all the time if we are still harvesting our yummy Running Wild Rice. The answer is no, but there is more wild rice in the valley!!

We miss all of the people we have met along the way at Fill Your Pantry events and Farmer's Markets, but we are happy this is still available in our community.

Still need recipes? I am happy to help. This is one of the most perfect foods grown, and Oregon is the most perfect place for it to be grown.

Our naturally grown wild rice is locally produced in Brownsville. Our fields are enhanced, natural wetlands. This environment provides habitat and a food source for annual migrations of waterfowl, shorebirds, and other species of nesting birds and wildlife. Wild rice production follows a natural cycle in a wetland ecosystem. Previous crop residues are disked into the dry, summer paddy bottom. W**d control is accomplished through flooding the paddy and maintaining adequate water depth throughout the growing period. Harvest begins in late summer as the paddy dries.
