Okay the name Cowdung is not the best advertising and appealing name…. BUT it’s a classic. Name coming from the brown contrasts it’s built to mimic mid summer hatches and the muddy waters of summer rains.

My Gram June built lures for fishing the conditions the waters brought that day because that’s what generations before her taught her. She knew morning and evening were golden hours… and golden glints were reflected in the waters. Put out a bronze casting spoon to flash that color. Crystal clear days you don’t want too much flash you might over power the attention and so you go with a smooth nickle spoon. Match those fish scale glints…. Then pair that with an old school fly or a bait - attractant combo and you get a killer combo. Treble hooks are a common occurrence here in Appalachia for many reasons…of which is NOT because we don’t care or respect the fish… and more like we eat the catch and are thankful and grateful for it. Last nibbles means dinner bell, but are course optional on all my lures with no judgement to whether you fish for fun or to feed. All are welcome here!! 🎣🤗💕
