What you should focus on when trying to build a fitness program 📝

1️⃣PRIORTIZE COMPOUND MOVEMENTS. A lunge is a compound lift, leg extensions are not. Both are great movments but if you had to pick one or the other choose lunge. Compound lifts are key to building your workout program.
2️⃣LIFT MORE WEIGHT. If you can do 10-12 reps easily and not really struggling on those last few reps UP YOUR WEIGHT.
3️⃣FOCUS ON 4-5 EXERCISES. You don’t need to do every exercise in the book. We would personally focus on 3-4 compound exercises and 1-2 single joint exercises.
4️⃣PUSH PAST YOUR COMFORT ZONE. We are all for pushing ourselves, but this is where you need to be SMART and listen to your body of pushing yourself to hurting yourself. Ego lifting is not going to help you in the long run.
5️⃣TRAIN SPECIFIC MUSCLE GROUPS. Break up your body instead of trying to do everything all at once. Think LEGS, CHEST, SHOULDERS, BACK, ARMS. Depending on how many times a week you can focus on lifting do them separately or put two muscle groups together but all of your workouts shouldn’t be let’s touch a little bit of everything if building muscle is your key focus.
