This photo of the Gas Monkey Energy dragster header set is just incredible. The unburned fuel was caught during the moment of reversion, where the engine actually sucks air back into the exhaust for a fraction of a second. It's a really interesting and scientific explanation if you feel like investigating further. SHOT by Taco I'm going to have to say, fine job of photography my friend, you nailed it.

JFR’s Austin Prock To Make Top Alcohol Dragster Debut

(Bowling Green, KY) August 26, 2017 Austin Prock of John Force Racing will be making his NHRA debut in the Nitro University Top Alcohol Dragster this weekend at the Division 3 points meet in Bowling Green, KY. Prock will be piloting the dragster that Alex Laughlinhas been driving for the 2017 season.

Coming from sprint cars and midgets, Austin Prock is no stranger to on track competition, except now he gets to power the 1320 feet drag strip with 4,000 HP behind him. Prock has licensed and has been testing with Anthony Dicero Racing the last few weeks. When they crushed his personal best E.T. and MPH three times in a row during a private test session in Indy on Wednesday, the crew decided that the momentum was too good for this weekend’s divisional race.

“I’m extremely excited,” says JFR’s Developmental Driver, Austin Prock. “We had a great test session this week in Indy and feel like we have good momentum going into Bowling Green. I’m grateful to be in this position and I can’t wait to see what this weekend holds for us.”

Anthony Dicero, who has been leasing out his dragster in the Nitro University program for a few years, is extremely excited to bring Austin and John Force Racing on board.

“This Nitro University program has brought out some of the best up and coming drivers I have seen,” says, Anthony Dicero, owner and crew chief for Nitro University. “I’m proud to be a part of these driver’s beginnings and this weekend for Austin is going to be awesome. I am a drag racing fan and to help him on his journey is a great thing.”

Nitro University and Advance Auto Parts will be the primary brands on Prock’s ride this weekend. The Nitro University has continued support from the Lucas Oil, MAHLE Motorsport North America, CP-Carrillo, Boninfante Friction Inc, NGK Spark Plugs, The Brake Man, Protect The Harv]est, and Manley Performance Products, Inc..

Alex Laughlin to Withdraw in the Top Alcohol Dragster Category for NHRA 4-Wide Nationals

April 27, 2017 (Indianapolis, IN)- Alex Laughlin and team have decided to withdraw from Top Alcohol Dragster competition this weekend at the 4 Wide Nationals in Charlotte, NC. The team agreed to regroup after a damaging weekend in Houston. The Gas Monkey Garage/ Gas Monkey Energy and Advance Auto Parts A/Fuel dragster will rejoin the NHRA circuit at the Menards Heartland Nationals in Topeka, KS.

“We’ve been struggling with the car and we can’t find the problem,” says Texas native, Alex Laughlin. “Instead of continuing to hurt parts and not run well, we’ve chosen to withdraw from Charlotte.”

Laughlin will continue his efforts in his 2nd Pro Stock race of the season this weekend with Gas Monkey Energy and Havoline.

“The car has a little gremlin in it and we are dissecting the issue,” says Anthony Dicero, owner of Nitro University. “I’m really bummed that we can’t be there with Alex. He has shown tremendous growth in the A/Fuel seat the last couple of races and we are all really proud of him. I wish him the best of luck in Pro Stock this weekend.”

The tentative plan for now is for the Gas Monkey team to rejoin the NHRA circuit at the Menards Heartland Nationals in Topeka in May.
