Another competition weekend in the books 😮‍💨
And this time, not only am I remember to post about it on the actual weekend, but everyone went home with ribbons!
Carlingford Wells and I finished 7th in the Open Training while his rider, Suzanna, is rehabbing. She was cheering us on all weekend and we hope to see her in the irons at the next event!
Lexington II and Grace finished 6th in the Training Rider.
Castle’s Boy and Alysha completed their Novice in 7th.
Adalee Ladwig’s Santiago and Anna finished 8th in the Beginner Novice Rider.
Ballyburn Blazer and Katelynn finished her FIRST novice in 5th!
And to top it all off, Kari Estes WON the Novice Rider 4 with her own Upland Seven Z 🥇🏆
Congratulations to all and thank you Midsouth Region Pony Clubs for a great event!

TheZelenskyyFactor had a wonderful school at Blackhorse Stables’ Mini Trial on Sunday! This young horse is coming along with great confidence. (And he’s for sale!)
Thank you Rachel Miles and the Blackhorse crew for putting on such a fun event!
And while I forgot any ribbon pictures, Alysha had a lovely couple rounds in the Novice CT, and special shoutout to Anna and Adalee Ladwig’s Santiago for winning the Beginner Novice Mini Trial. To think, this was only Anna’s second ever competition just last year - congratulations!

Look at those smiles!! We had a successful day at Spring Run Farm’s 50th competition. Rowan, Sophie, and Addie all finished on their dressage scores and left with ribbons. Great job girls!

GEC’s Ponymanship students had a super time at their last spring session playing some Mounted games!
Though we are primarily an Eventing-focused program, we believe Mounted Games are a great way to get the students more comfortable in the saddle, think as a team, and to learn through playing!

Pictures from our weekend at May-daze Horse Trials! GlenAyre had six horses with five riders competing at the KY Horse Park including a successful training move-up for Suzanna and Carlingford Wells finishing 4th!
Katelynn and Ballyburn Blazer finished 5th in the B Nov Rider and Alysha with Castle’s Boy were 3rd in a competitive Open B Nov division!
Anna and Santiago completed their first B Nov together - congratulations to them!
Suzanna with Upland Seven Z and Grace with Lexington II had some of their best dressage scores to date in the Training Rider and left with some homework for the next event. (Bring on IEA Horse Trials!)

We truly enjoyed our time at May-daze. With a storm causing a weather delay on Saturday, organizers and volunteers were very accommodating in getting everyone’s rides in. We can’t thank Max Corcoran, Heidi Jones, Debbie Jacobson Saliling, and the rest of the team enough!

And don’t worry Lauren Romanelli, our Competition Evaluation has already been sent to USEF 😉😊

So new rule: if you are leading the 5 Star at Kentucky on Thursday you get the honor of opening the dressage gate on Friday.

Sophie M had a great time explaining to him the proper posture and mechanics of how to be flawless and work in harmony.

Perhaps it’s harder than it looks, but Will is a good student and took direction well.
