That's all, folks! 👋

Our camping season at Sycamore Ranch has come to a close, and what a wonderful year it was. After some time off to recover from the wet, cold weather, we will look forward to welcoming you back in the spring. 🏕️

In the meantime, our Day Use areas at Sycamore Ranch and Hammon Grove remain open, and showcase its own fall/wintertime beauty.

We had to cancel camping reservations last weekend due to some localized flooding, but we are happy to say we are fully REOPEN this week!

The waters have receded and much lower rain levels are expected, so we are looking forward to closing out our camping season this week on a high note ⛺

UPDATE: Day Use at Sycamore Ranch and Hammon Grove have reopened! Water levels are high and swift, so please use caution. There is no current risk of flooding.

With a wind advisory in effect and heavy rain expected this weekend, Sycamore Ranch & Hammon Grove Park will be CLOSED to the public at least through the weekend.

We will keep you posted next week on if/what cleanup efforts look like in terms of reopening. Our regular camping season will reopen April 1, weather permitting 🌳

Sycamore Ranch & Hammon Grove is once again welcoming the Untz Festival back to Yuba County! The three-day music, arts, and yoga festival will begin this evening. Get your tickets through the Untz Festival box office at theuntzfestival.com while supplies last. No entry will be permitted in either park without a ticket during the event.

The warm weekend is fast-approaching. Perhaps it's time to take in 18 holes... of DISC GOLF.

Hammon Grove Park is waiting. The tees are marked, the course is lush, and the baskets are ready. Just bring your discs.

And we don't have wimpy sand trap that we call "hazards," no siree. We have the real thing. Seriously, anywhere in the foothills it's possible to come across the occasional rattler. Just pay attention and be careful when playing though, and you'll be fine.

Sycamore Ranch Campground along Hwy 20 near Browns Valley opened this past weekend, and it dressed up for the occasion (with a little help from our Public Works crew).

If you have never been up there, this weekend should be a nice time to check things out. The Day Use area will get you up along side the Yuba River for a peaceful picnic, and hiking trails abound.

One thing not yet there is the floating bridge between Sycamore and adjacent Hammon Grove Park. Waters are still running high, and the big snow packs will keep it that way for several more weeks. Changes in water levels could carry away the bridge, so we will be waiting awhile before putting it in place. Fortunate, there is a safe hiking trail between the two destinations, closer to the highway.

Great news, Sycamore Ranch Day Use and Hammon Grove have reopened! 🥳

After several weeks of closure due to repeated flooding, downed trees, and debris, we are once again able to open our gates. The forecast for high water is virtual nil, and staff has been working hard on cleanup to make this happen. Big thanks to them!👏

In some areas, standing water and debris remains. Please take caution and be respectful of closed sections of the parks. Currently, no entry is permitted into the Sycamore Ranch campgrounds.
