🚨 If You Find a Bird, Please Leave It Alone 🐦

It’s common to find young birds on the ground this time of year, but that doesn’t always mean they need help.

Please do not pick up, relocate, or transport birds you find. In many cases, their parents are nearby and continue caring for them, even if you don’t see them.

Removing a bird from its natural environment can reduce its chances of survival and may be illegal if it’s a protected native species.

If you believe a bird is truly injured or in immediate danger:
• Keep pets and people away if possible.
• Observe from a distance for a short time.
• Contact your local wildlife agency or a licensed wildlife rehabilitator before taking any action.

The best way to help wildlife is often to let it remain wild. Thank you for doing your part to protect our native birds!

Our crews will be on shift throughout the weekend, ready to respond to any emergency calls while closely monitoring weather conditions as they develop. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant, practice fire safety, and stay informed as conditions may changerapidly. Additional updates regarding any restrictionswill be shared as they become available.
