We wrapped up our first week of summer mileage with a Slurpee Run! 🥤

Attendance has been outstanding so far, and it’s been great to see the hard work and commitment from our athletes. Keep it up!

Interested in joining the team? It’s not too late! We meet Monday–Thursday at 8:30 AM at the high school track. Whether you’re a returning runner or looking to try cross country for the first time, we’d love to have you.

MITCA D4 Team State Finals 🔥

On Saturday, the boys made the trip to Hillsdale College to compete for a team state championship! After qualifying as the final team in the field (15th seed), the Vulcans exceeded expectations and finished 11th in the state, beating our projected finish by 4 spots.

Despite battling injuries, absences, and a long day of tough weather conditions, this group competed with heart from start to finish. We’re incredibly proud of the fight and resilience they showed all day long. ⚒🔥

Tomorrow, some of these athletes will take on the Thumb’s best at the Thumb Meet of Champs before we close out the season at the MHSAA D4 State Finals this Saturday. Go Vulcans! ⚒🔥

Special thanks to Zehnder’s in Frankenmuth for providing sack lunches for the team and helping keep the boys fueled throughout the day. We truly appreciate your support of our program!

Regional Meet Recap 🔥

What a night hosting the MHSAA Regional Meet! Proud doesn’t even begin to describe this group. The boys team battled all the way to the end and came up short of the regional title, but the fight, effort, and heart they showed was incredible.

Most importantly, we’re sending 9 athletes to the State Finals! 💪

Full results from the Laker Rotary Invite on Tuesday 🔥

The Vulcans put together a great meet from start to finish, bringing home a bunch of PR’s and another early qualifying mark!

Melo Poe punched his ticket to the MHSAA D4 State Finals with an EQ mark in the 200m dash, winning the race in a huge new PR of 23.03 🔥

He also took 1st in the 100m dash (11.28) and helped the 4x100m relay earn a runner-up finish (45.55).

Championship season is officially here:
📍 BTC-White Championships — Tuesday at Reese
📍 MHSAA Regional Finals — Friday at home
