The NY Kids Club is a private enrichment space committed to, physical, intellectual and social experiences for children from 8 weeks to 12 years old. Through innovative classes, creative camps, one-of-a-kind birthday celebrations and events, our academic approach inspires each child’s inherent love of learning in a fun and energetic environment.

Our new Afternoon Club campaign launched this week! You may have seen these animations in your IG feeds and IRL on subway screens, but what you may not know is the unique story behind the work.

Afternoon Club is our unique afterschool program specially designed to keep the learning going – but a bit more low-key and a lot more fun. We chill, have a snack, play, and have projects about the greatest city in the world: New York City! With this in mind, we wanted to celebrate the city and our creative spirit 💫

Using materials entirely from our classrooms (pencils, crayons, toys, markers, erasers) we worked with a mighty team of creatives to make these materials come to life. Creativity is key at NY Preschool — and as New Yorkers, we can make art out of anything! 💯🎨

The first day of preschool can come with some BIG feelings, for little ones and grown-ups. 💜

A smooth transition starts before you even reach the classroom. Keep goodbyes short and sweet, bring calm and positive energy, and give yourself a little extra time in the morning to keep things fun and stress-free.

We’re moving into the weekend with our Brooklyn neighbor Dancewave! Today at Park Slope-Gowanus, our summer campers explored dance techniques while creating their own movements, shapes, and sequences.

By connecting letters and words to movement, campers also strengthened memory and recognition through creative play. This is a perfect example of how we make learning active, imaginative, and fun.

Whether we're counting blocks, practicing number recognition, or learning that perseverance matters until the very end, our students know that every number tells a story.

So while our little Knicks fans are getting ready for bed, we're keeping an eye on the scoreboard and rooting for a comeback.

There’s something about New York that you can’t quite put into words, you feel it. In the rhythm of the streets, in the sound of a guitar, in the everyday moments that turn into something memorable.

Right outside the subway, one of our guitarists brought that energy to life with a simple song we wrote ourselves. People passing by, the city moving, and for a moment, everything slows down just enough to listen.

At NY Preschool and Kids Club, we believe learning and creativity don’t live in just one place. They show up everywhere, in music, in movement, and in the world around us. This is what it looks like when creativity meets the rhythm of New York. 🎶

This week's craft: Flower Vases. 🌸

We cut vase shapes out of cardboard, poked holes through them, and then stuck real flowers through each one. Simple in concept. Beautiful in result.

And the fine motor work happening while little fingers thread stems through tiny holes? That's big skills being quietly built. 💪
