We offer much more than a routine of Pilates exercises. Unlike some Pilates programs that simply link exercises together without taking a client’s individual needs into consideration, PPW practitioners decide which exercises are appropriate for a client after a thorough assessment of a client’s alignment including but not limited to, the arrangement of the spine, pelvis, ribcage, and scapulae and the balance and integrity of core and postural muscles including the diapragm, psoas, abdominals, multifidi, and pelvic floor muscles. The client will then be guided through exercises that strengthen their weaker muscles, release their tighter muscles, and lengthen their shorter muscles.

Sending so much love and vibrant Pride to everyone back in NYC this summer! 🏳️‍🌈 Watching the city celebrate from afar definitely brings on a little FOMO and a wave of nostalgia. But as I settle into my new life here in Spain, I’m feeling so full of gratitude for the new chapters unfolding.

Speaking of chapters—I was recently interviewed by Medium’s Authority Magazine! 📰 I got to dive deep into my Pilates origin story, the mistakes I’ve made along the way, and how I merged a passion for movement into a business with zero outside funding.

It’s been so awesome to see our client Stefano’s Pilates journey over the years (decades!) Senior Practitioner Mariela has been incorporating weight training into his Pilates sessions with really great results. He’s noticeably stronger and more confident with Mariela’s guidance. Also he’s making it look easy, but it’s quite challenging to handle the resistance band and the weights through that steady range of motion, bravo!

I’m not sure how many small businesses are left in Williamsburg, but the fact that I am still one of them, is only because of you, our dear clients, our community that has supported us the past 15 years.

I am grateful.

I know you have many choices, in fact so many more today than 15 years ago, and the fact that you’ve chosen to care for your body in my studio, to center your well-being practices with us, to learn and to laugh and to grow with us, gives me some real big feelings.

Thank you.

Some people see Pilates as a trend, but we know it as a devotional practice—one that creates inner strength, resilience, balance, and wholeness—qualities that you take with you wherever you go. 🫶

As we celebrate 15 years serving up the very best in Pilates we are looking back through our archives and feeling all our feelings! Each instructor that spent time and energy in the studio has had a tremendous impact on me and our community. Many of you I miss dearly and many of you I consider my dear friends. 🙏

📷 took the b&w photo of me on my very first Reformer in my Bed Stuy railroad apt in 2010, just a couple months before I opened my studio in Williamsburg! I bought that convertible Cadillac at an estate sale on Long Island and loaded it into the back of my husband’s pickup! 😄🛻
