Audiobooks are publishing's fastest-growing format and
one of its least-discussed crafts. This Brooklyn Book Festival
Bookend Event pulls back the curtain, bringing together
narrators, producers, and authors for a candid, behind-
the-mic conversation about how an audiobook gets made,
and why some narrations unlock a book while others fall
flat. Moderated by Brenda Copeland, the panel features
Paul Alan Ruben, Barbara Butcher, Barbara Jones, and
Carol Schneider. Presented by Drexel Extra Credit, the
public-facing arm of Drexel University's Low-Residency
MFA—extending the program beyond the classroom.

You know that feeling....when you are proud of your narration work and you send it out into the audiobook world? We are pleased to be right there with you on this journey as we recognize your efforts.

The NODS are a celebration of PANA members who demonstrate the power of human vocal artistry, advance the craft of narration, and represent some of the strongest audiobook performances each year.

Our esteemed panel of judges spent the summer listening to these amazing performances. They base their scores on a breadth of style and talent-based criteria. Each finalist’s title is listened to in its entirety by more than one adjudicator and the average score is calculated and used to determine our winners.

Each finalist demonstrated range, professionalism, and a performance that captivated the judges. Congratulations to all of our Finalists!
