I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my sister, May—one of the most genuine, hilarious, and resilient people I know.

May has multiple sclerosis, and it has reached a point where she is physically unable to work in her role as a dental assistant. There are days when her body does not function—she cannot walk, speak clearly, or see. On top of this, she is facing a frightening new medical diagnosis, requiring daily doctor visits for a month before she can confirm the diagnosis. The weight of all this is unbearable, and she is now at risk of losing her low-income housing apartment while fighting to get the care she needs.

Please consider a donation if you have ever jumped rope with Double Dutch Empire as May is the reason I jump rope and is my lifelong teammate in jump rope and beyond.

We are not presenting Double Dutch Empire's signature OPEN ROPES program at Herald Square or Brooklyn Bridge Park this summer.

We will be jumping at a few events around NYC in a couple of weeks, please join us!

Saturday, June 1st from 12:30pm - 2:30pm at PS 316 in Prospect Heights.

Saturday, June 8th from 2pm - 4pm at The Ideal School on the Upper Westside.

Both events are free, all ages and open to everyone!
