Ninjutsu - martial art of distance and timing

The legendary martial art of Ninjutsu is almost 1000 years old. Today it is taught by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, the head and current grandmaster of the Bujinkan International Dojo of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Hatsumi is grandmaster of no less than nine ryu ha (martial traditions) handed down to him by his teacher the late Tosh*tsugu Takamatsu (regarded to b

e the last combat ninja in history). One of these ryu ha is the infamous Togakure ryu school of ninjutsu of which Dr. Hatsumi is the 34th and latest grandmaster. In his school Dr. Hatsumi teaches this comprehensive classical Japanese martial art to a constant stream of students who visit from all over the world. At upwards of 150,000 students worldwide, Hatsumi heads the largest martial arts organization in the world under any one living grandmaster. Ninjutsu training will teach students to be fully rounded martial artists ready for any situation. Through continued training students become more confidant in their everyday lives, cultivate peace of mind and a benevolent heart while tempering an immovable spirit. As at the hombu (main) dojo in Japan, training is held in a unique and friendly non-competitive atmosphere. Our training is appropriate for men and women from all walks of life regardless of previous experience, ability or body type.

Truly sad news and a great loss for the Bujinkan...

FYI...

Relationships in Japan run deep. Most people only have a surface view of what is going on when it comes to the Bujinkan. Most people only visit Japan once a year, never learning the language, culture, etc, and only learning techniques. In order to embody the art of Budo Taijutsu you must understand many aspects of the Japanese language, culture, through living experiences, not just reading about them in books or watching videos about Japan. I pass on my experiences over the past 20 years to all the Daimyojin Ninpo Dojo members. These experiences are deep and give each student a large perspective and understanding into the art.

Here is a great photo of Kamioka san, Ishizuka Sensei, and Hatsumi Sensei talking together in the Hombu Dojo a few years ago.

Indeed. Always question yourself. If you're searching for truth, a great practice is to look at information that contradicts what you have discovered or believe.

Kampai!!

Hatsumi Sensei is fine, he asks us to take care of ourselves and protect ourselves. And that he really wants to see us all again, as before ...
