Words can't describe this feeling. Shidoshi John F. Manniel III. What can I say. You were my friend, my mentor, and my 2nd father. You helped forge my path and the person I became. From the dojo on 51st Street (near the firehouse) to the Hidden Dojo on 65th Street, to Golden Eagle Martial Arts on 8th Avenue & 50th Street, to Sunset Park Martial Arts at 4601 4th Avenue, 4410 4th Avenue, and 889 4th Avenue. You were there for me. Because of your influence in my life, I've been fortunate enough to teach hundreds of students in the ways of Kar-Do-Jitsu Ryu, including my nieces & nephews, my godson, and my 2 kids whom have become instructors, as well as so many other black belts that have become as close to me as my own 2 children. Your influence and participation in all of our lives will be missed. I thank you for everything that you've given us throughout the years, and I promise to do my best to keep you alive in our hearts and in our teaching.

Ayudaste a forjar mi camino y la persona en la que me convertí. Desde el dojo en la calle 51 (cerca de la estación de bomberos) hasta el Hidden Dojo en la calle 65, pasando por Golden Eagle Martial Arts en la 8.ª Avenida y la calle 50, hasta Sunset Park Martial Arts en 4601 4th Avenue, 4410 4th Avenue y 889 4th Avenue. Estuviste allí para mí. Debido a tu influencia en mi vida, he tenido la suerte de enseñar a cientos de estudiantes el Kar-Do-Jitsu Ryu, incluidos mis sobrinos, mi ahijado y mis dos hijos que se han convertido en instructores, así como muchos otros cinturones negros que se han vuelto tan cercanos a mí como mis dos propios hijos. Tu influencia y participación en todas nuestras vidas se extrañarán. Te agradezco todo lo que nos has dado a lo largo de los años y prometo hacer todo lo posible para mantenerte vivo en nuestros corazones y en nuestra enseñanza.
