The Best Player Doesn't Always Win MVP 🐐

Kevin Durant sparked a huge debate by saying a regular-season MVP is more valuable than an NBA championship — pointing out that nobody remembers the 8th or 9th man on a championship team, but they would remember that player if he had won an MVP.

But I think there’s a major problem with that argument.

If we’re talking about the superstar and main guy on the team, what carries more weight: winning the regular-season MVP or leading your team to an NBA championship?

To me, a championship as the best player and leader of the team means more. And then there’s the MVP award itself… what does “MVP” even mean anymore when the criteria seem to change depending on who the voters like?

The Ringer just released its Top 100 NBA Players heading into the 2026-27 season, and LeBron James landed at #20. 😳

They have players like Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant and Jamal Murray ahead of LeBron. A LOT of people are not happy about it—but honestly… I can understand the ranking.

Is LeBron still a Top 10 player in the NBA, or is #20 fair at this point? 👀🏀

The WNBA has spent 30 years fighting for women’s basketball, and now the league is experiencing some of the biggest attention, viewership, and financial growth in its history.

But with that growth comes a major controversy: Who should be eligible to play in the WNBA?
