Guatemala 🇬🇹 & Belize 🇧🇿. Truly beautiful countries with kind people and great foods. It’s crazy that it’s been more than 5 years since I last visited outside US or Japan (though we have toured the US National Parks well), and I think I need them more to see the world clearly and more balanced. I was impressed by the people’s efforts to preserve the nature and the historic sites in both countries. We visited two gorgeous ruins in the jungles, but also visited small Mayan towns as well as two animal conservation centers ( and ), both were great opportunities to meet people and learn their efforts and struggles. A great trip!

久々に国外に出て、学びが多すぎて、もっと海外旅をしなければと痛感しました。日本の若い方々とお会いできたのも本当に嬉しかった！話しかけてくださって感謝ばかりです。

201601 reformer after a long break. posting anyway since I shot and I can😁 restarting, taking control of yourself (or a part of yourself, at least), and the new year feel good no matter. Miss you those who I haven’t seen for a while. Hello🫶🏼

and Pilates - Pilates helps improve movements in many physical activities, but somehow I feel quite a lot of similarity between these two. Of course core stability that bouldering requires and Pilates builds, “reach” from the center that we work on a lot in Pilates and is necessary in bouldering, mind-body connection in each move which is well-felt in both, and relation to the space/wall & holds/apparatus. What do you think?

ボルダリングとピラティス、通じるものがあるなぁと前から思っていて、2年越しくらいでブログにしました。やっている時の頭の中の感覚がすごく近い気がしています。

先日おいでくださった声楽家の方が、ピラティスでの身体の使い方にピンと来てくださったりもして。繋がりを発見していただけて、嬉しかったです。

My birthday candlestick(s) 🎂 Three is always a good number for me. Thank you 2024 & welcome 2025 😌✨ 縁起物でせっかく撮ったので載せておきます。1回目は降り方間違えて、2回目は降り方しか合ってなくて？、三度目の正直。2025年、ゆるりと始まりました。今年も楽しく進んでいきましょう。どうぞ変わらずよろしくお願いします。

🎄🎉 Virtual Pilates class (in Japanese)どアップで失礼します！年納めの12月の月1オンラインクラスは、フローで（流れるように）動いていきます。

今年特に後半は、身体のパーツごとに考えたり動いたりしてきましたが、ピラティスの本筋はその「システム」。マットのルーティンを流れるように動くことでこそ感じられるものを体感して締めくくりたいと思います。

ひとつ前の投稿は高速再生ですが、私が動いたものを載せました。こう言う動きがあるのね、とチラ見していただけたら。

もちろん初心者歓迎のクラスなので、動きの説明をしながら、ゆっくりと進めます。ご自宅からピラティス体験してみたい方も良かったらどうぞ。

This is going to be my actual Pilates fight: let people understand that despite this Reformer "fashion", Pilates is not a Reformer class. Pilates is a philosophy based on control which has different tools/apparatus to make students better understand how to do specific movements. Especially big apparatus are mostly "facilitators" compared to the matwork so it drives me crazy when I see people using Pilates machines as they where in a Gym. Anyway, a Pilates Teacher should know how to use them all not only teach a a Reformer every single hours spent with a student.
