BWell Fitness Studio I am a Fitness Professional that has been actively working full-time in the field since 2010.

bWell is a by-appointment-only fitness studio that offers customized personal training, digital programming, recovery, supplemental and nutrition coaching services. I have always had an interest in the human body and how it worked - I find great joy in helping people learn and understand how their body moves and works synergistically to complete tasks and exercises. Outside of my college degree in

Kinesiology, I have two CPTs (Certified Personal Trainer) with ISSA and NASM, a PN1 (Precision Nutrition) certification, PNMT (Precision Neuromuscular Therapy) certification, and DSA (Dietary Supplement Advisor) certification. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family which includes my partner, pitbull, being outdoors, ice fishing, bow hunting, snowshoeing, hiking, and of course strength training in my studio!

It’s getting HOT 🥵 (and humid) out there!

Do you experience heat-related headaches?
Do you struggle with drinking enough water?
Do you feel like you’re drinking water constantly but still experience muscle cramps?

🥜 🍓: MEAL REPLACEMENT RECIPE!

The PB&J Protein Shake is one of my favorite go-to recipes. It’s easy, packed with nutrition and nostalgic to my childhood favorite snack!

- 12 oz. unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup frozen berries
- 1/4 cup traditional/rolled oats (uncooked)
- 1 scoop (~20 grams per serving) of vanilla whey protein (I use Thorne Vanilla Whey Isolate)

Pro Tip: Use frozen berries versus fresh to instantly chill your shake. If you have or prefer fresh fruit, just add a couple 🧊 to give it some thickness and chill - you won’t be disappointed!

This is an excellent and fast option for breakfast, lunch or needing nutrition before hitting the gym!

Fitness is a constant journey and you best expect some speed bumps along the way.
I have always been a runner 👟- since I discovered and fell in love with track in grade school.
I pursued bodybuilding 💪🏼 - then a severe case of tendinitis hit and I chose to shift my focus.
I took on the challenge of rowing 🚣 a half marathon (13.1 miles) in under 2 hours.
I’ve completed multiple mud runs including three Tough Mudders. 🏅 🏅 🏅
I have tested my maximal back squats strength in back squatting 275 #. 🏋🏻‍♀️
Then Endometriosis reared its ugly head and I had surgery. 🤕 I put on over 20 # in 4 months and for the first time felt the struggle many of my clients go through for almost 2 years, trying to lose the weight.
It took changing my priorities, a big shift in my exercise routine, how I take care of myself and what I nourish myself with.

I will always see my fitness journey as an ongoing evolution. Maybe it is time you do the same - what can you SUSTAIN?

Hip Mobility: Assisted Airplanes!

This is an excellent way to work on improving the range of motion in your internal and external hip rotators. I always recommend starting with something to hold onto for assistance with balance (even if you have excellent balance). Make sure to NOT lock out your knee and concentrate on how your pelvis moves around the top of your femur (upper leg bone).

Prioritize core engagement so you maintain a neutral spine and start with 2-3 sets of 5-6 reps each side. This is something you can do daily - those that may want to modify or take into consideration are individuals with torn labrums, history of hip bursitis or osteoarthritis of the hip may want to consult with their physician or Physical Therapist first before trying these movements.

⁉️Not sure? Vet out the source of information! WHO are they, WHAT are they qualified/credentialed in, WHERE are they trying to guide you from their post, WHY might they be discussing or posting this content, WHEN was this posting (is it current), HOW are they phrasing their information (ex: is it paraphrased, is it direct from source, is it incorrectly sourced)?
