Bujinkan Mizu Nagare Dojo Minnesota's oldest Bujinkan Dojo The Bujinkan Mizu Nagare Dojo is the oldest Bujinkan Dojo in Minnesota.

We are committed to transmitting the martial arts of the International Bujinkan Dojo and Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi as faithfully as possible. The Bujinkan simultaneously represents an ancient tradition of martial arts as well as realistic and germane concepts of real world survival, tested on the battlefields of ancient Japan and in the lives of everyday warriors in the modern era. Ukemi is %50 of the training.

Your failure to be good at Ukemi becomes a hindrance to the development of your training partner and your own understanding of Budô. You have a role and therefore a responsibility to become good at Ukemi. To become good at Ukemi, you must have the right spirit. A spirit of presence and conviction. Without this spirit, you will be hesitant,fearful and stiffen in your body, hence creating a greater chance of injury to yourself and your training partner.
Developing the correct heart for receiving demonstrates an inner acceptance of the present. It will make you a better,safer and more enjoyable training partner, increasing your overall depth of understanding in the martial arts.

Ishizuka Tetsuji has passed away. His teachings and memories will live on in the countless hearts he has touched over the years.

He was the most senior disciple of Hatsumi Masaaki, and he was the Sōke of Gyokko Ryū, and held menkyo kaiden (full transmission) in the following ryūha:
