Dear Brookline Ballet Community,

After 15 wonderful years, The Brookline Ballet School is closing its doors and beginning a new chapter as part of Boston Ballet School.

We’re so proud of everything this school has become since it opened in 2010, and we’re incredibly grateful to the students, families, faculty, and staff who made it all possible.

Although TBBS is closing, we are comforted and excited that the space will continue to be filled with dance, music, and joy. We trust Boston Ballet School to carry on the spirit of TBBS and the legacy we’ve built together.

Thank you for being a part of our story!

Boston Ballet School is coming to Brookline! BBS is proud to announce that we will be acquiring Brookline Ballet School, with our programs starting in July.

We grateful to Brookline Ballet School owners Trinidad Vives and Parren Ballard for inviting, and trusting us to continue their work towards providing high-caliber dance training.

Please join us tomorrow, MAY 27th, 7:00PM at the Fine Arts Center at Regis College in Weston for our annual Spring Showcase! The Spring Showcase features our TBBS YBP students (Levels 2A-7) in class dances, as well as classical repertoire and contemporary work by our advanced students.

Many of our students are preparing for summer programs and intensives as the end of the school year approaches. But what about a summer dance program for adult students?!

At The Brookline Ballet School, we host an annual summer intensive designed specifically for adult dancers. This 5-day program offers adult students (ages 18+) the opportunity to take a deep dive into technique and learn a repertoire piece as well. The intensive schedule meets Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday, to support busy weekly schedules.

Ages 11-13 (by audition)

Daily classes will include Ballet Technique, Variations/Repertoire, Pointe/Pre-pointe, Conditioning and Jazz. The Junior Ballet Intensive will be taught by TBBS faculty and guest teachers.

TBBS PRE-PROFESSIONAL AUGUST INTENSIVE
August 8-26, 2022
Monday-Friday, 10:30am-3:30pm
Ages 13-19 (minimum 1 year on pointe)

Our professional faculty provides the students with an opportunity to improve their abilities through a highly focused technical and artistic approach developed by Directors Trinidad Vives and Parren Ballard. Daily classes include Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations, Pas de Deux, Contemporary Dance, and Pilates. The students learn variations from the classical repertoire as well as excerpts from contemporary ballets. During the program we offer master classes taught by guest teachers. The Intensive culminates with an in-studio showing for the advanced level, where students perform choreography they have learned throughout the program. We believe this is a valuable experience for the students, and an exciting way to showcase the progress they have made.

Planning summer activities for your young dancer? Enrollment for TBBS's Summertime Ballet Adventures in July is now open!

This program is designed for children interested in ballet, ages 5-7 (no prior experience required). Each week is devoted to a different ballet story (Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, etc.). The daily schedule consists of a ballet class, a ballet story, and other activities related to the story of the week. Students bring snacks and eat a packed lunch to conclude their day at the studio. Students may enroll in just one week or several weeks.

Week 1: July 5-8 (*T-F*), 9am-1pm
Week 2: July 11-14, 9am-1pm
Week 3: July 18-21, 9am-1pm
Week 4: July 25-28, 9am-1pm
