Monday night racing thoughts…. This could get lengthy. Racing is tough… Racing is hard work… Racing is a lot of things that’s difficult to explain. To the outsider, spectator, friends, family or even significant other it could be silly. You spend fortune to build something then go out and beat it up on a concrete wall or wreck or whatever then do it all over again… It is so hard to explain or describe I don’t even try any more at times. But I will say this. Racing takes discipline, dedication, work ethic, support both emotional and financial these days and so many other things in between.
I’ve raced something whether it be gokarts, motorcycles or cars since I was 5 years old. It’s in my blood passed down from my dad. And after everything I’ve poured into this sport I hope it’s in my son’s blood. Without racing no telling what path life would have taken me down whether that be for worse or not I don’t know but as far as I’m concerned my life is perfect. The best wife, great kids, roof over our head and food on the table. With all that being said I think racing has taught myself a lot over the years. And for that I’m thankful. Do I know everything about racing ABSOLUTELY NOT, I learn more and more everyday.
My son is to the age he understands things and sees daddy racing, loves going in uncle Keiths hauler, spending time at the track, fist bumps me and tells me he loves before and after the races and that makes my heart so full and makes me believe deep down whether its a $300 to win or $30,000 to win it doesnt matter seeing him just turned 3 years old in victory lane holding up the ☝🏻 makes every second worth it.
I say all of this just to with all the dedication, blood, sweat, tears, long nights, sleepless road trips to get to next track, money spent I wouldn’t change a thing because at the end of the day seeing the people I love and my friends that support me stand with me in victory lane makes every minute I spend doing this worth it!
I challenge all of the racers out there to comment your favorite personal racing picture in the comments and share this to get as many racers as we can to do the same!
Here is my pics! 🤘🏻
Love you guys!
