Sending our deepest condolences to Deutsch’s family, and to everyone who his bright shining smile touched. He always treated us, and everyone he met with kindness and a smile. Our downtown community lost an amazing man today 💙💛
Cubby’s is closed today, May 22, as we mourn the loss of our friend and teammate, Deutsch.
We may never know the why, so instead, we choose to focus on how grateful we are to have been a part of Deutsch’s life.
On the hard days, we’ll gather with family and friends over a cold beer, catch a baseball game, or find ourselves outdoors doing the things he loved…working in the garden, out on a hunt, or waiting patiently for a fish to bite.
In the toughest moments, we’ll lean on one of his many perfectly timed one-liners, and somehow, we’ll laugh through it.
And as we learn to navigate this life without our friend beside us, we’ll use his words as our guide, “Never take any day for granted. Don’t take your loved ones for granted. Love your friends harder. Do your best to be a good person.”
