Training to failure is different than fatigue. Muscle responds to the load placed upon it, so the higher the load the greater the force production required to move it. Localized muscle fatigue (aka that burning feeling) is helpful for gauging if you can reach failure, but only going until you feel a burn and stopping is hurting your gains!

The unfortunate truth? The classes that make you “feel” a burn aren’t enough to build muscle because you’re training to fatigue and not failure.

Training to true failure or within 1-2 reps of failure is a guaranteed way to get super jacked 💪 (ugly lifting faces required 😂)
