Kearney Hockey Camps

Kearney Hockey Camps Kearney Hockey Camps is for children playing 2002-20012 age range divided into two tiers based on age and ability.

Kearney Camp is a 33 session long summer hockey program affording families the flexibility to give their children a great hockey experience which allows them to learn and grow without impeding on family time. You have the flexibility to come and go to as many sessions as you would like without having to worry about falling behind. This flexibility in a summer hockey program is one of a kind and I

designed it this way with busy families in mind. More about Sean Kearney the owner and Head instructor for Kearney Hockey Camps... Sean has spent over twenty-five years coaching a variety of sports but primarily hockey and soccer. 2012 is the third year of Kearney Hockey Camps out of the Eble Ice Arena in Waukesha, WI. At this time the camp is servicing over fifty families and their children. The summer of 2012 we have added a Lead goalie instructor to the camp. His name is Shane Potter and has over 17 years of playing experience with a number of years of semi pro and minor pro hockey and 3 years of coaching experience.

Good morning Kearney Campers,

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!!!! PLEASE READ!!!!!

You may or may not have heard but there was a mechanical problem with the compressor at Eble Ice Arena forcing them to take the ice down for the months of June and July. With that, I’ve been able to secure ice at Nagawaukee Ice Arena in Delafield. I made every attempt to secure the same schedule and thanks to the Nick, the manager at Nagawaukee, we got really close. As one may imagine. ice is very difficult to find during the summer months, but we made it work!!!

What you need to know….

• Kearney Camp is still on for the summer of 2021.
• Kearney Camp will now be held at Nagawaukee Ice Arena in Delafield. Address: 2699 Golf Road Delafield Phone: (262) 646-7072
• Nagawaukee is an Olympic sheet so it’s 200 X 100 ft which affords us more space.
• I’ve limited the number of participants to 45 which includes goalies and part time players. I expect around 35 skaters per session which is great!
• We will only have one Tier this year due to lower numbers and the venue change. We will, as always, divide the players into their appropriate divisions when on the ice so they have the best experience possible.
• Below you will find the new schedule. Please note that I scheduled double skates on a few Saturdays and Sundays to make up for the sheets we lost in the move. The total still comes up to 33.
• If you are a part time skater, feel free to choose any of the 11 sessions that best fit your schedule. Kids don’t fall behind when they come and go.

Good afternoon Kearney Campers....

I hope you and yours are happy, healthy and hanging in there. I wanted to share an update regarding Kearney Camp summer 2021. The schedule has been built and is now up on Eble's web-site. The format and pricing are the same as last year. I'm capping both Tiers at 35 players as I did last summer but please don't worry as the camp usually doesn't fill until late March/early May. As always, I will work with families who may need to set up a specialized payment plan or have specialized scheduling needs. Kearney Camp is, by design, as user friendly as possible and is designed with dynamic families in mind. When one considers what we've all been going through, adults and children alike, it's more important than ever to work together on all things "normal" like a summer hockey camp. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in K/C 2021 please reach out to me at any time.

Lastly, good luck to all in your respective playdowns, playoffs etc. Play hard, have fun and bring home some memories. A little hardware doesn't hurt either.

Below you will find my contact info and please note that my mailing address has changed.

Thank you and be well,

Good morning Kearney Campers.

I wanted to reach out and thank all of our camp participants for your cooperation, buy-in, and hard work the last two days. The tempo has been fantastic. I find it amazing that the quality of people and play continues to improve/evolve with each passing summer. I am also happy to say that both Tier I and Tier II registrations are closed. A big thank you goes out to all of you for that. Honestly, without the support of so many incredible people, this simply wouldn't happen. As always, if you have any questions about anything related to K/C please reach out to me at any time.

Thank you again and have a wonderful week..

Good afternoon Kearney Campers,

Just a friendly reminder that K/C starts this Sunday, June 14th. I sent an e-mail to all a litttle while ago in regards to rink protocol. If you didn't get it please text me with your e-mail address and I will send it straight away. 414 334-1782.

Important note:

The schedule has changed slightly.
Whereas in the past there was a 15 minute break between the two sessions there is now a 1/2 hour break to honor social distancing. I will be available each day (outside) before and after each sessions to connect with all of you.The new schedule is up on Ebles web-site. Please feel free to reach out at anytime.

Thank you and see you soon.

Good morning Kearney Campers,

I hope you and all of your loved ones are well and enjoying the beautiful weather. This morning I received notice from Jeff Michalek, the manager at Eble, with the latest information from Waukesha County executive Paul Farrow on social gatherings and it’s good news.

At this point we are to avoid social gatherings of more than 50 people. I’ve decided to limit the number of camp participants to 35 participants in Tier I and 35 participants in Tier II respectively.

• As of today I have 8 spots left in Tier II and 7 spots in Tier I. These numbers include both full and part time participants. First come first serve…
• When I have detailed instructions as to safety precautions at the rink I will forward that to all of you. Expect that information by this time next week.

Lastly, we are always looking for goaltenders and have a great opportunity for them. This year I’m offering all goalies a “buy back” program. The cost up front for goalies will be $300. I will then be documenting and crediting goalies $20 for each session they attend up to 10 sessions or $200. This will be paid back to those families upon completion of their tenth session. I am also happy to announce that Scott Pelkowski, the Marquette High School goalie coach, will be joining us and working with our goalies this summer.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support of Kearney Camp during these difficult times. Can’t wait to get back on the ice.

As always, if you have any questions about anything related to Kearney Camp please reach out to me at any time.

Be well and see you soon..

Good morning Kearney Campers,

I have an update on K/C summer 2020. Before that though, I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and active during this difficult time.

I spoke with Jeff Michalek, the manager at Eble yesterday, and we've decided to make some changes to the camp schedule. (The updated schedule is now posted on Eble's web-site)

We've decided to delay the start of the camp and move the Red series to August. We are now scheduled to start on June 14th, the first session of the White series.

We're still scheduling out 33 sessions at 1hr 15mns. As far as considerations go, we may/most likely will have to take extra safety precautions. When I know more I will share that information with all.

Please feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions, concerns or simply want to talk hockey.

Again, please find the new schedule on Eble's web-site.

Thank you, stay safe, and know that you're loved..

Good morning and happy Monday,

So we're about one month from the start of Kearney Camp summer 2019 and I wanted to share some information. There are 13 spots left available in Tier I with several verbal committments and 8 spots available in Tier II. Please, even if you've verbally committed, send in your registration forms. I would expect the camp to be full within the next two weeks.

Thank you, take care and as always if you have any questions please reach out to me at any time.

Good afternoon Kearney Campers,

Registrations for both Tier I and Tier II are coming in at a nice pace which is fantastic. With that, the camp typically doesn't fill up until the end of April beginning of May but it does fill up. Please if you, or someone you know, would be interested in or benefit from K/C summer 2019 please have them reach out to me sooner than later. I've also received a few questions regarding payment plans and how that works. The process is actually very user friendly. All I ask is that families decide what works best and communicate that to me. I wouldn't want anyone stressed out over summer hockey which is, by design, fast, fun and effective.

Take care, stay warm and please reach out with any and all questions.

Thank you,

Sean Kearney
