Flexible, part-time hours working weekday afternoons to early evenings with school-aged kids in our Afterschool program at Karate America's Inspire Afterschool! "I'm bored" can mean "I have bandwidth freed up to learn/do something new!" if we know how to guide it that way! Journaling is not the same thing as keeping a diary. This practical tool can be a game-changer for kids and parents in so many areas! Kids can keep a Math Journal, Science Journal, Virtual Learning Journal, Feelings Journal - or anything else! This article has some great info on specifics to help parents get a journal started with their kids, and to guide the process along the way!

Journaling for kids has benefits beyond just practicing writing. Keeping a journal can also be a way to understand science, nature, and math.
