Got a call late last night 11:30pm buck shot at 4:40pm. Hunter watched the deer from his stand when out of sight collected his bolt and got right out. He knew the shot was further back. Took the dog out this morning so roughly 16hrs after shot. Tracker took me right to him....unfortunately not expired yet. It took him a few minutes before he moved but when he did he didn't do it very quickly and had a decent amount of insides hanging outside. We backed out as quietly and quickly as possible. Giving him more time to expire. This hunter did everything right!!! He never went to look for the deer he just got his bolt marked blood right where he shot it and got out!!! He was bedded up only about 50yrds from where the hunter last saw him.

Here's 2 Tracker took us right to! First one was a heart and gut shot. Didn't actually go too far but very little blood trail. It was merely just for fun because it was for our neighbors. The second one was interesting. Went in high around last rib and got stuck in the groin bolt broke off. She actually left a ridiculous trail really didn't need the dog but he had fun doing it. Hunter thought he may have hit shoulder and had already bumped her once by accident.

We've done a few tracks so far. First was earlier this week. Tracker locked right on and we bumped her so backed out. Next day she showed back up on the camera!! Second one was opening day. First Tall Tines Wild Game Recovery ran it (Tracker's younger sibling Biscut). Then I brought Tracker out to run it both dogs ran the same trails and did the same thing so we all agreed the deer was still alive. Hunter got this picture today confirmed alive!!!

So I know I went M.I.A since last season! In the off season I raise big batches of meat chickens and turkeys plus do a huge garden and sell veggies annnddd I can jams and jellies!!! But it's time to switch gears to deer season!!

Y'all this right here NEVER DOUBT YOUR DOG!!! Last night when we were walking out of our track the hunter was dragging his buck in our sled and Tracker just started losing it doing his whining that he does when he's close and locked on I couldn't pull him off easy. We were between a fence and the woods and he wanted to go in the woods BAD!! But the woods were another property. The hunter just sent me this!! Apparently while we were busy on the track and helping the hunter drag the deer out someone nailed this hoss on the road and he was in the woods and Tracker knew it!

Hey guys! Well we finally came up with a name! It's already been a busy year for us! This will be the 3rd page I'm running between my farm page the tracking group I started, which I will share on here in a separate post, and now this page! For those of you that are new we are a husband and wife tracking team for whitetail deer. Tracker is a bluetick beagle/blue heeler this is his 3rd season tracking! We cover Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana county. We also work with a drone team from time to time I will also post their information! I can't wait to get this launched and continue on our tracking journey!
