60 days Till I'm in Daytona Beach embarking on a journey like no other and making my way to Homer Alaska on backroads with turn by turn directions fot around 10,000 miles. I've been asked alot a questions lately leading up to this and one stands out above the rest. Why? Well it's easy you can plan all the trips you want on a motorcycle not a one will come close to the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. Mainly because you could plan it, but the fact is you'll never ride that ride to the route you planned to the last mile, because you have options if you make a wrong turn you dont have to follow them right down to the last turn. That and at some point you'll pull out your phone or plug in the nearest gas stop on your gps because you pushed the limits without fully understanding just how far your bikes limit is. Most people aren't going to camp out next to the bike for a trip they planned cause let's face it weather is huge factor when your traveling on two wheels. That and I really love to get on my bike and twist that throttle, it's also a great way to raise funds for the charity I've chosen which is Mile Monsters Inc! Mile Monsters helps boys with DMD (Duchesne Muscular Dystrophy) which is a horrible disease which there is no cure and it robs these boy of their muscles and steals their ability to walk around there teenage years. So stay tuned as I'm gonna start giving away some stuff to people who make a donation to my fundraiser!!! Or if your just feeling generous head to profile and click the link I have pinned and make a donation every little bit helps.

Rode out to Colorado over the weekend, it was a super eventful trip! Thursday skirted that super cell in Nebraska with winds that had me at full tilt for over hundred miles just glad we dropped to back roads, I dont check weather to often on the road and would have hit that storm head on if I was on I80. Friday after picking the wife up in Denver we rode the mountains down to Bayfield not without incident either, we hit an Elk it was a smaller cow. Luckily kept the bike up and my knuckles are still bruised! I literally hit it in the snout and then it's head bounced off the wife's elbow. Glad I had my thick gloves on and the wife had her Klim jacket on with the elbow pads. Saturday we had the wedding. Sunday we played in the mountains, I rode up 550 and some other cool roads, 50 was closed at the bridge so no Monarch pass or Cottonwood, and found out when we got to the gate east of Aspen so was Independence pass. So had to cross back over on I70 or go back down to Durango and come around. For those wondering still dragging boards with the car tire even with the wife on the back she wasn't to happy with that but only pinched me once ( thats her way of telling me to cool it). Yesterday I rode back roads all the way home from Denver, started out as just avoiding traffic but turned into 1186 miles of peaceful roads took me 19hrs but it was a great warm up for the Hoka Hey in August little over 3200 miles for the weekend

Question I get asked alot lately is why am I riding the Hoka Hey again? Well there truly is no other ride like it, 1. 2022 was one of the best experiences I've had on a motorcycle in a long time, it brought back that true freedom of the road feeling and I learned I truly love to sit on my scooter and twist that throttle mile after mile. 2. The only definite plans I have to make is showing up in Daytona Beach by August, they take care of the route and I just have to follow it and find a spot along the road to sleep when im tired. 3. Is the riding for a charity, and this year I'm riding for Mile Monsters Inc to bring awareness to DMD (Duchesne Muscular Dystrophy) DMD robs these boys of so much and the things they have to go through just to be able to walk another day before DMD takes their ability to walk away. I'm hope full I can raise a few bucks to help the boys live their best life and help them out. If you would like to donate a few bucks it would be pretty cool of you and heck maybe tell a friend to kick in a few bucks as well and maybe they'll tell a friend as well. https://givebutter.com/HH24

100 days from now is the start of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge 10,000 Miles starting in Daytona Beach heading to Key West then making our way to Homer, Alaska. 3 check points somewhere between. Two lane backroads and miles of smiles. This Challenge will test a rider in many ways from the paper turn by turn directions, not being able to sleep indoors and issues the road throws at you at every turn. To the new riders out there are you ready? It's rhetorical your never ready for a ride like this all you can do is be prepared the best you can be. Are you nervous!!! If not you should be!!!

Also as part of the Challenge I'm raising money for Charity. The charity Ive chosen to ride for is Mile Monsters Inc helping kids with DMD live their best life's. Donation link is pinned on my page if you have a few bucks you'd like to donate.
