Another Throwback Thursday post ... we headed to Yorktown Lanes to present honor score awards to several bowlers in the Ralph Young League. These guys took the saying "8 is great" to heart!

Congratulations to Aaron Kutnyak on rolling his first 800 series ... 277 - 268 - 268 ... for an 813 on December 23, 2025! What a great way to kick off the Christmas holiday last year!

A few months later on March 24, 2026, Kevin Levy added his own accomplishment to the league by rolling games of 266 - 245 - 299 for a terrific 810 series!

Not wanting to be left out of the 800 party, Nick Fleming threw an 814 series on April 14, 2026 with games of 257 - 279 - 278!

Congratulations gentlemen on your impressive bowling last season! May your Tuesday evenings be filled with new high scores this season!

Congratulations to Mike Losteiner who rolled his first 300 game on March 29, 2026 in the Sunday Morning Rebels league at RollHouse Parma! We helped him kick off the 26-27 season by presenting him with his ring. Mike, we wish you a season filled with new achievements!

We have some news to share ...

The Cleveland Ohio USBC (COUSBC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Cipriano as the new Association Manager. Natalie was selected following an interview process conducted by the Board in July 2026.

Her onboarding and training began in early August, and she officially assumed the Association’s office duties on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Natalie has been a longtime member of COUSBC through sanctioned league play and tournament participation. She brings with her a background in business operations as well as enthusiasm for bowling.

Prior to joining COUSBC, Natalie owned and operated businesses in Ohio and New York. Her experience included financial management, accounting, human resources, data analysis, and marketing. In New York, she and her husband and son also owned and operated a bowling center and restaurant, where she was involved in many aspects of the businesses.

Her business background and experience will be helpful as she takes on the operational, financial, and promotional responsibilities of the Association.

Since transitioning from business ownership in late 2024, Natalie has spent time volunteering in the community and staying active in bowling. Outside of bowling, she enjoys fly fishing and supporting Cleveland’s arts and charitable organizations, including Playhouse Square, The Cleveland Orchestra, and local nonprofits.

Please join us in welcoming Natalie to her new role. We look forward to working with her as she begins this next chapter with the Association.

The USBC Junior Gold Championships is the premier annual national tournament for the top male and female youth bowlers in the United States. The event features eight divisions: U12 Boys, U12 Girls, U14 Boys, U14 Girls, U16 Boys, U16 Girls, U18 Boys, and U18 Girls.

This year's championships are being held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Competition begins today as bowlers compete through four days of qualifying in an effort to advance to the Advancers Round, followed by multiple rounds of match play. The top three competitors in each division will earn a spot in the championship finals, which will be televised on BowlTV.

🎳 Congratulations to Bill Kuczinski! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Bill Kuczinski, proprietor of Fairview Lanes, on receiving the 2026 V.A. Wapensky Award from the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA)—one of the organization's highest honors.

Bill was recognized during the International Bowl Expo in Nashville for his lifetime dedication to bowling and his tireless efforts to promote and grow the sport.

Known throughout the industry as "The Birthday King," Bill revolutionized bowling birthday party promotions and helped countless families discover the fun of bowling. As a founding partner of the Kids Bowl Free program, he has also helped introduce millions of children to our great sport.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to Bill's passion, innovation, and lasting impact on the bowling community.
