Stands full of energy!
A years' worth of work for 1 day, all dependent on mother nature. Too bad she didn't get the memo on Bronson! This community and event has so much passion and energy, mother nature doesn’t stand a chance of getting in our way!
A huge thank you to Grant & Derek Wonders – Wonders Repair & Fab, for all the work they put into the track to widen and lengthen it for this year. Williams Trucking for hauling in the additional clay. Tyson Franks, G&K Concepts, not only worked alongside Grant to make the initial changes to the track but took the bull by the horns when it came show time and gave us one of the best tracks we have ever had! Bogen Concrete provided us with additional barriers this year. The Branch County Road Commission provides us with the grader and roller, Matt Barrows sat in the big seat this year. Tyler Mynhier and Shaffer Farms also did a lot of work to prepare the track in the weeks leading up to the pull. Hathaway Farms & Bronson Vet Services for providing equipment and your best operator, Dave Balmer, along with Cody Stanton of Stanton Excavating provided some fine dozer work! The Bronson Fire Department - thank you for keeping us safe! Our sled operator, Jeff Storey, thank you for making the trip and waiting out the rain for us. 4 Star General Storage – a huge thank you for providing our electricity and allowing parking for this event. Terrance Swan hooked us up on sound this year, a few kinks to work out for next year but he made it happen for us! Our tech crew as always – Pat, Chick & Greg, you did a great job! Lee Swift has been helping a lot behind the scenes to guide us and has been an amazing resource, he also is a big help keeping things running smoothly during the pull. My girls at the registration trailer, Melanie, April & Mindy – I only recruit the best – thank you for all you do! Aden Hathaway, Kameron Barrow, Wyatt Towers & Jason Martin for lining trucks up. Joe Swain and Larry Sikorski – providing only the very best equipment for our track. G&W Display Fixtures for the brush hog. Affordable Driveway & Tree Services for hanging banners and reinstalling our speakers.
Our coaches and athletes! Tony Myers, Chad Butters, Damien Loveless, Liz Carpenter, Ken Broom. We asked, they showed up! Amazing group of kids! They helped set up, pick rocks, worked the concessions, clean up. Coach Tony is a professional bid spotter - I think he comes by it naturally though! Coach Liz Carpenter and the cross-country team ran the gate this year and did a phenomenal job, along with gate veteran Missy Herman! Coach Butters crew was hard at work at the concession. Coach Ken Broom and crew came in at the end of the night and got all the fencing taken down.

I was taken back by how many people showed up and sat through the rain. The number of trucks lined up to get into the pull – awesome! We were sweating bullets all day, gambling on the weather and radar! We held firm and it paid off! Tyson Franks made all the right calls on the track!

This year was probably one of the best pulls we have had, the energy for the night was “let’s get to pullin and have a good time!” To all the kids that participated in the mud run – we hope you had fun, who knows what the weather will bring next year!
