A special night for Broken Bow Wrestling!

The 2019 Broken Bow Boys Wrestling Team was officially inducted into the Broken Bow Athletic Hall of Fame this evening. Coach Schaaf reflected on their incredible State Dual Championship run, where they captured the Class C state title, and highlighted the team’s remarkable accomplishments over their four years:

• 35 state qualifiers
• 19 state medalists
• 7 state finalists
• 3 state champions

An outstanding group of young men who left a lasting legacy on the program. Congratulations to this team on a well-deserved honor!

Indian Boys Wrestling – NSAA Class C State Tournament Update

The 2026 season wrapped up Saturday in Omaha as Broken Bow sent four wrestlers to compete at the NSAA Class C State Tournament: Braxon Rynearson (150), Aidan Markham (165), Cobe Wells (175), and Devon Baum (285).

What a weekend for the Indians! Aidan went 1-2 losing to the runner up and fourth place medalists. The other three wrestlers punched their way into the Friday night semifinals—Braxon Rynearson, Cobe Wells, and Devon Baum—securing spots on the podium and representing Broken Bow on Saturday.

Cobe Wells led the charge all the way to the finals, earning a SILVER medal 🥈!

Braxon Rynearson and Devon Baum each brought home sixth-place medals.

We couldn’t be more proud of this group. The hard work, toughness, and grit they showed all season long was on full display this weekend. Making it to the state tournament is never given—it is earned.

This weekend also marked the final matches for seniors Braxon Rynearson and Aidan Markham. Thank you to all our seniors for everything you’ve given to Broken Bow Wrestling—you’ve left your mark. We wish you nothing but the best in what’s ahead!
