Dickenson Family YMCA gave families in the communities of Broken Arrow and Southeast Tulsa an ideal local center for fun, exercise, and relaxation. Dickenson Family YMCA provides the area's 30,000-plus teens and children with safe alternatives for after-school activities, and programs that emphasize life skills to help prepare them for a productive adult life. It also provides child-care services, senior programs, and a wide range of health and wellness programs.

On this day of remembrance, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, recognizing the courage of those who responded, and reflect on the lasting impact of that day. 🇺🇸

Here in Tulsa, our skyline holds a unique connection to the World Trade Center. The BOK Tower was designed by Minoru Yamasaki & Associates, the same architectural firm behind New York City’s original Twin Towers. Completed in 1976, its design was closely inspired by the World Trade Center, creating a lasting architectural connection between Tulsa and New York City.

As we look toward our own skyline today, may it serve as a reminder of the strength, unity and compassion shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy. May it also remind us of the values we strive to live out at the Y every day, caring for one another, strengthening community and creating a place where everyone belongs. 💙
