EEEK!!! 😱🎉 Another one! Please join me in congratulating another savvy diver on achieving the highly sought-after SSI Master Diver recognition… GEOFF GOOLSBAY! 👏
Geoff’s diving journey began back in 1986, when he earned his Open Water certification while in college. Like many divers, life got busy and he spent some time away from the sport — but the ocean eventually called him back. Recently, Geoff refreshed his skills 💪, continued his training, and rediscovered his love for diving alongside his favorite dive buddy: his wife, Beth. 💕👫
Geoff and Beth love exploring the underwater world together, and their favorite dive destination so far has been Jamaica 🇯🇲. Next month, they’ll take on a brand-new adventure — their first liveaboard dive cruise in the Bahamas — while celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary. Not a bad way to celebrate! 🎉🍾
Outside of diving, Geoff has always enjoyed taking on challenges. He recently retired after a career in cybersecurity, where he served as a Cybersecurity Director helping protect critical infrastructure. He’s also an Ironman finisher, proving that whether he’s swimming, biking, running, or diving, Geoff enjoys pushing himself and exploring what’s possible. 🏊🚴🏃
Fun facts many people may not know : long before cybersecurity and scuba, Geoff was already a professional musician while still in high school! Recently, he has also joined Beth in the world of track racing, adding yet another adventure they can share together. WOW! 🤯👏
But what Geoff is most proud of is his family — 35 years of marriage with Beth, three amazing grown children, and two wonderful grandchildren. 👨👩👧👦
