My heart is so full ❤️

Yesterday was about so much more than a performance. It was about smiling dancers, dedicated teachers, supportive families, friendships, confidence, growth, and so much joy. 💕

Thank you to everyone who helped make our 24th Annual Recital, “Out of the Darkness Into the Light,” so special. Watching our dancers shine on stage was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Thank you for trusting us with your children, supporting their dreams, and being part of our dance family.

Today, we’re soaking in the memories, celebrating accomplishments, and feeling incredibly grateful.

Months of hard work, growth, and dedication all lead to this moment. We are so proud of every dancer and can’t wait to watch them shine. 💙

Things I wish every dance parent knew before recital...

❤️ Nobody notices the tiny mistakes.
🧡 Your dancer is more prepared than you (or they) think.
💛 Recital day feels chaotic, but somehow it all comes together.
💚 The nerves turn into excitement once they step on stage.
💙 You’ll blink and they’ll be taking their final bow.

So from one DanceMom to another…
Take lots of pictures.
Cheer loudly.
Soak it all in.

The heart behind West End Academy of Dance 🧑‍🩰

The one with approximately:

🎭 a million recital ideas
💭 constant overthinking
💕 and an endless love for our dancers

Behind every class schedule, recital lineup, costume fix, encouraging pep talk, late-night email, and “just one more idea…” is a teacher who truly believes dance is about so much more than steps.

At WEAD, we believe in building confidence, creativity, kindness, resilience, and community - and I feel so lucky to share that mission with all of our amazing dancers and families each week. 🫶
