Hello everyone! I have had many people reach out about summer track this summer! Good news, there will be summer track this year but there will be a new coach! I recently had twin boys, so I am pretty busy! I am excited to let you know that our wonderful Head girls track coach, Coach Doyle, will be taking over track this year. Please be on the lookout for fliers in the next week or so.

Here is the meet information for tomorrow. Please read:

We will have colored bands for each participant. These will be set up at the starting line by the cones where the athletes sit and wait for their races. Athletes have to have a band to participate. If you are not a Brock athlete this is where you will also pay your entry fee.

Yellow-10U
Purple-12U
Green-14U

We will be giving out awards tomorrow at the conclusion of each heat. For the relays, please make sure each athlete gets their medal/ribbon. For the long jump, please hang out until every athlete has jumped so they can hand out the awards.

Here is the meet schedule for tomorrow. Please read through. The meet will start at 5:30 with long jump. Please have participants there by 5:15 we will start the long jump with the younger age groups and go in order. We will use all 4 pits so we will work as quickly as we can to get through each age group. I will need volunteers to help with Long jump so if you would be willing to help, please be there around 5 so I can give out assignments.

Please make sure athletes are sitting behind their cone waiting for their events to start. This will help keep it as organized as possible. Someone will come get them when it is time for their event. We will have someone making announcements so if you would like your child to sit in the shade until their event, that is fine just please make sure you are listening to the calls so they don't miss their event.

Great job last night, little Eagles! You ran your hearts out! I am so proud! We will have practice tomorrow at normal times!

A few things for next week:

1. Look over the meet schedule to see what all your child can participate in. You are free to go as soon as your child has participated in all the events they would like to.
2. Your child can participate in ANY event even if their age group is not listed. They will run with the youngest age group in that event if theirs is not listed. (Hurdles will only be for the specific age groups unless a parent talks to Coach Shoush or me).
3. Please encourage your athlete to sit behind their cone and wait to be called for each event. This will help with the chaos at the starting line.
4. The concession stand will be open for the next two meets. Don’t forget to stop by.
