Orion's National Air Pistol League is intended to allow teams from throughout the country compete virtually in an exciting, spectator-friendly league. The League seeks to simultaneously create a low-cost, yet meaningful national competition for both elite and developing teams. Teams will compete from their home range against teams near their relative skill level in an 8 game, 10 week season. The w
inner of each game is the team with the highest score. All eligible school or club members may participate in each game. A team score is the sum of the top four athlete scores from each game. Each team will shoot a 40 shot course of fire in each game. Teams will be scheduled to compete against other teams of equal, or near equal, win-loss record. Scores from each team will be merged on the Internet using Orion's Virtual Match technology. Results will be listed live online on Orion's Result Center. Registration is $75 per team per season. All athletes must be eligible to compete under the USA Shooting rules. Both junior age and open age athletes are eligible. Team members must be active, participating members of the same local club with at least four eligible athletes. Furthermore, to help encourage the development of young athletes and recognize top performers, The League seeks to provide as many awards as possible to deserving teams and their team members.
