This page frequently receives requests to hike the trail. When the page was created, we were given a link to a website that sent postcards to people requesting permission. At some point that website became inactive and the link has been removed. The admins of this page do not own the trail and cannot put you in touch with the owners.

The purpose of the page is to celebrate this local treasure. We would love posts of your memories and pictures.

Abrams Falls road has been sprayed with herbicide killing everything for 20 feet into the woods. It is an environmental disaster for the many flowers and shrubs that grew along the road and stream. We encourage you to protest this devastation. Below are some people to contact.

The heirs to Evelyn and Roy Kenneth Hill have recently sold their Abrams Falls land. The land includes the historic trail to Abrams Falls in Washington County, Virginia, has been used for well over a hundred years to reach Abrams Falls. The new owner is vitally interested in preserving the land in its wild state and in sharing access to the Falls with the community. The trail will soon be improved. A marker is planned to designate the trail as the R. K. Hill Abrams Falls trail. We will post more about this legacy in future posts.
