Recap from our business trip with a first day of fun and team bonding to Myrtle Beach for the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Conference Champipnship‼️ Out of 15 schools in the conference, our men finished 8th and our women finished 11th. This years squads scored more points than the past two years combined so this was a nice step in the right direction.

Savannah Darnell broke two event school records (100H and 200 meter dash) within breaking her own school record in the heptathlon as she earned a spot on the podium with a 3rd place finish. Nolen Carter also broke his own school record in the decathlon.

Samaya Armstead and Jude Dukes also broke the school records in the long jump.

We now have two athletes continuing on at some last chance meets in pursuit of qualifying for the national championship (Dominick Stevens - 10.33 in the 100m dash and ranked 25th in the nation… and Lynden Johnson - 10.38 in the 100m dash and ranked 33rd in the nation).
