What a game it was this evening down at C**t State Park when our Minors All-Star team went head to head with the Tiverton All-Stars! Unfortunately, we fell just shy in this high scoring matchup when Tiverton took the lead 26-25 after sunset.
With a game score that high, it is clear there were many players that shined tonight! We are so proud of the work these players put in.
Geneva Griffin hit a single that she was able to stretch to a double on a throwing error.
Laila Lugo hit 2 singles, one of which she was also able to stretch to a double with her heads up base running. She earned 2 RBIs.
Lillian Pellerin hit an RBI double. She also hit a single that knocked in 2 additional runs and was able to reach 3rd base on throwing errors. The shortstop made a ground out thrown to second base.
Quinley Giarrusso hit 2 singles, one that knocked in 2 runs, advancing to second on a fielder’s choice to throw home.
Pearl Kiselka hit a single.
Skylar Deveau and Ruby Mitchell each hit an RBI single.
Posey Centazzo hit 2 singles and had 3 RBIs. The relief pitcher had 5 strikeouts. She also caught a pop fly to earn another out in the game.
Riley McGinn made a ground out as second baseman.

The Minors All-Stars will play the East Providence All-Star team tomorrow night at Pierce Field in East Providence. First pitch will be thrown at 5:45pm.
