I just want to take a few minutes and reflect on my thoughts about showing women and younger girls that strength training is okโ€ฆmore than ok, it can be very beneficial for both physical and mental wellbeing!!๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

I recently had a young lady join my group class and she quickly became interested in doing more with some individualized personal trainingโ€ฆ๐Ÿฅฐ I am very happy to have her in my class, and love that she is interested in her fitness. I absolutely support teaching our children about the importance of fitness, especially our girls, who often donโ€™t think that the gym is a place for them too!

Often, women are intimidated to go to a gym. They should NEVER have to feel this way. I will do my best to help women feel empowered and build some self confidence. ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐ŸŽฏThere is nothing wrong with being a strong woman! ๐Ÿ’ช

This new client is a teenager who has already started to feel comfortable coming to classes. I am also glad that her mother trusted me to work with her. ๐Ÿ˜Š Everyone in the group is so supportive of each otherโ€ฆno matter their age or level of ability.
Everyone is there for the same reasonโ€ฆto improve their fitness. Granted, everyone has a different โ€œWHYโ€ and that is perfectly ok!๐Ÿ’ฅ
I love how my group members encourage each other. We are building a great community in our studio! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ช

Like so many people, August comes around and the goals you set in January are a distant memory. Every year, it amazes me how many people quit on their goals when there is still time to finish the year healthier, happier, and stronger.
So, rather than waiting until January, Iโ€™m issuing you a challenge.
I donโ€™t care what happened up till now; I care that you take actionโ€ฆany action at all.

Today, I want you to commit to something by answering one question:
โ“โ“What will you do for the final four months of the year to make sure you improve in 2024?โ“

Donโ€™t wait for next yearโ€™s resolutions.
Donโ€™t wait for your own medical emergency. Start right now.
Iโ€™m simply asking you to be better tomorrow than you were today, every day, and to commit to something.
Accountability and support help you take action.
Too many times, people spend time chasing โ€œthe next big thing.โ€ But the real secret isnโ€™t complicated. You have to find something that helps you become a little better.

If you and your training partner walked 5,000 steps yesterday, walk 5,001 today. If you ate one vegetable yesterday, eat two tomorrow. If you did a pushup for the first time today, do two tomorrow.

On Saturday November 9th, we will be hosting a charity powerlifting event to benefit our local veterans. All proceeds will go to the Bristol Veterans Strong Community Center. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

This is a great opportunity to get some experience with, and learn more about the sport of powerlifting outside of a sanctioned lifting event. It will be low key, fun, and accessible to all. ๐Ÿ’ช

This event will be capped at 15 lifters, so grab your spot quickly!!

Start with the Basics!!!!

I often tell clients that baby steps in the right direction are still progress. Everyone can start with basics and these 2 pyramids from give an example of how starting with basics is for everyone.

Figure 1.16 shows a sample of priorities.
Figure 1.17 shows the amount of value added by the different factors.


Starting with basic behaviors will give you up to 70% of improvement.
