Our 6:30 AM early departure special for Bonito, Albacore and Bluefish worked out pretty well today. The fish were chewing, and once again, our anglers put some quality fish over the rails.

Bluefish were hitting A27s and A47s with tails, while chrome A17s and A27s, epoxy jigs and Streaker jigs accounted for most of the Bonito and Albacore.
The fish were a little easier to catch today than yesterday. The experienced fishermen still had the edge, but anglers who worked their jigs were rewarded.

THE FISH ARE HERE — AND THEY’RE BITING
BONITO. ALBACORE. BLUEFISH.

The fish are chewing, and today’s anglers put some quality fish over the rails.

Bluefish were hitting A27s and A47s with tails, while chrome A17s, A27s, epoxy jigs, and Streaker jigs put most of the bonito and albacore in the boat.

These fish weren’t handing themselves out. The experienced fishermen had the edge today, and the anglers who knew how to work their jigs got rewarded.

NIGHT BLUEFISH REPORT
Bluefishing was excellent Friday night, with plenty of 5–10 lb bluefish coming over the rails.

We were chumming throughout the night, and most of the blues were caught on bait. There were limit catches all around the boat, making for a great night of fishing.
The pool winner was:
 Luca Sannino from Springfield, New Jersey with an 11 pound bluefish

The Jamaica sails Saturday night at 7:30 PM, and we still have plenty of space available.

OFFSHORE TUNA REPORT
We sailed offshore Sunday night and headed out to the Canyon.
Just after first light, we hooked up our first fish, which turned out to be a white marlin. After that we marked tuna throughout much of the trip and even saw a couple fish come up and air out, but we were unable to get them to bite.
We switched gears and targeted mahi-mahi, and the action was good, with mahi up to 14 pounds. Most of the mahi were caught on bait, with some also taken on small jigs and epoxy jigs. Everyone caught at least a few and some had limits.

Tuna Thursday 7AM
We have a 31-hour offshore tuna trip sailing Thursday morning, and there are still a few spots available.

NITE BLUES
This weekend, we’ll be sailing for night bluefish Friday and Saturday, departing at 7:30 PM each night.

EARLY DEPARTURE 6:30AM Sat & Sun

Saturday and Sunday, we have 6:30 AM early-departure trips targeting Bonito, Bluefish and Albacore. Space is currently available on all of our weekend trips.

🎣 Night Bluefishing — EXCELLENT! 🎣
Last night’s bluefish run aboard the Big Jamaica was nothing short of awesome!

Capt. Dan Gregory put everyone right on the meat, and it was mayhem from start to finish. The blues showed up hot and stayed that way, with limits all around the boat!

It was a true one-stop drop — we anchored up, got set, and the action never let up. Rods were bending all night!
The pool winner was:
John Wojtiw from Phila Pa with an 8lb bluefish.

The bite is looking excellent for Saturday night and Sunday, so now’s the time to get out there and get in on the action!

Bluefish & Bonito
The bluefish are biting pretty good today!

Jigging has been the best method, with fish ranging from 4 to 10 pounds. You have to work for them today, but everyone has had a shot at several bluefish and more.

Luca Sannino caught his limit early, has released several more, and we still have fishing time left. Several other passengers are getting close to their limits as well.

It looks good for tomorrow, and there is plenty of space available.

The Big Jamaica Schedule

The Big Jamaica is scheduled to sail at 7:30 AM Saturday and Sunday.

Night Bluefish trips sail at 7:30 PM Friday and Saturday.

We also have an Offshore Tuna trip sailing this weekend, leaving at 10:00 PM Sunday night.

Next Week

7:30 AM departures on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday we have a 31-hour Tuna trip departing at 7:00 AM Thursday.

Half-night trips will continue through the third week of September on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM.

Next Saturday and Sunday, September 5th & 6th we begin our 6:30 AM early departure trips for BlueFish and Bonito.

There is space available on all of our trips this weekend.
