Absolute Fencing Signs Sponsorships with Hesham, Morrill
BRIDGEWATER, NJ, USA, Sept. 1, 2026— Absolute Fencing has signed sponsorship agreements with collegiate and world saber fencers Ahmed Hesham (EGY) and William Morrill (USA), providing long-term support for their competition careers on the road to the LA28 Olympic Games.
Both accomplished athletes have significant results in domestic (both in Egypt and USA), NCAA, and international competitions and proven results at all levels. They are joining the Absolute Team in the footsteps of multiple NCAA, national, international and Olympic champions, all of whom rely on Absolute fencing gear to being frequent winners on the medal podiums.
Ahmed Hesham, 19, is entering his junior year at Notre Dame, studying computer engineering. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, he competes under the Egyptian flag and is ranked world number eight in men’s saber.
Among other numerous accolades, his results include an individual bronze medal at the 2025 Tbilisi, Georgia World Championships, two Grand Prix bronzes (Orleans 2025 and Tunis 2026), two Junior World Cup golds (Dormagen 2025 and 2026), and two African Zonal Championships golds (Lagos 2025, Abidjan 2026). Hesham also took gold in the NCAA Championships in both individual and team in 2026, as well as individual bronze and gold in team in 2025.
“I am very excited to be part of the Absolute Team,” said Hesham. “I’ve been using Absolute for a long time, and it helps me knowing I have a great team at my back, especially since I’m preparing for the Olympics. This coming season has the first Olympic qualifications, and it’s a long season and my first one as a senior athlete – so it’s a little different, more challenging, but very exciting. I love Absolute gear and this is why I wanted to be part of it.”
Hesham is coached at Notre Dame by Christian Rascioni.
William Morrill, 20, is also beginning his junior year and studying applied math and computer science at Columbia University. He is currently ranked number 11 in the world.
With a long series of medals to his name in men’s saber, Morrill’s most notable results include an individual Senior World Cup gold medal (Budapest 2026) and bronze (Madrid 2024), as well as being a four-time men’s team world champion and four-time medalist in the Junior & Cadet World Championships.
“I’ve been wearing Absolute fencing gear since I was a young cadet, and I know they’re the best choice for me,” said Morrill. “Being part of the Absolute team and having access to their world-class equipment gives me the best-possible chance to achieve my ambitious fencing goals at the NCAA, national, international, and Olympic levels.”
Morrill also fences for the Scarsdale Fencing Center and is personally coached by Archil Lortkipanidze (“Achiko”).
