We have wrapped up the local season for 302 Racing and it ended at the Delaware International Speedway Champ Show. We had been looking forward to this race for some time. We skipped it last year due to the track size & the size of our cars, but after racing at Smoky Mountain Speedway and Bubba Raceway Park; DIS was just fine.

Started Sunday morning of the race with technical issues while the crew chief was playing fireman. (Car ran for over an hour on Friday after swapping the radiator)

Fixed the starting issue, and ended our season with injector issues and a flat for the feature. Just had the whole injector assembly apart that day, so it was one of those things that happens on the track.

Wish we had more fortunate results for the event; its was Shane's first time at that iconic track in Delaware, and if the post I read today is correct; it was likely his last. Racing is tough, having a business model that revolves around racing and discretionary spending has got to be a lot toughter.

We will be ending the 2026 season with our second trip to Smoky Mountain Speedway for the Thanksgiving Thunder Event. Last year we placed 2nd, and learned a lot. (Bringing the right tires will help!) It's a banked red clay track that's completely different from anything local to us.

2026 had a lot of ups and downs - we will wrap it up in Tennessee and plan for Florida to start 2027!

Wow, we haven't been able to race since August 29th and have had some struggles this year. As the season winds up, we were hoping to get a few more laps in. On Friday at 3:45 we got a text from Hovey Performance that one of our motors was ready. Quite the surprise, and on top of a busy weekend in Bridgeville.

Just a little update on our current status.

Blew oil out the exhaust the last 2 races on 2 separate motors. Not optimal.

We aren’t sure of the exact reason so time to address anything that may have caused it. Both motors are out and off to be rebuilt. Completely re wiring the car. Install new wiring harness. Check all injectors.

There is still some racing to do before 2026 wraps up, and we hope to be ready for the 2 day race at Bridgeport and then onto the Scrappler.

2nd motor in as many races. That was our spare, so checking on turn around on rebuilds. Thinking it’s an electrical issue. Thank you to Jimmy Wills for assisting with that.

Middleford Speedway - August 1st 2026
Started the evening with a setup that just wasn't working on the track for the evening. Made some progress in handling for the Heat, but went backwards and finished 4th.

On to the feature, and we made some drastic changes that were either going to terrible or a move in the right direction. We started 7th, but the car was handling great.

Shortly after half way we had made our way up to 3rd AND we lost our motor.

It was a tough night for a few in the class. Speedy recovery and repairs to everyone who's evening didn't end well.

Come ride 20 laps with Shane in the Mod Lite Feature at Middleford Speedway. In car video for this evening's event. We started 14th and finished 5th, so there is plenty of action.

Started the evening missing our heat race due to a bad battery - Thank you to Jason and Austin Dean Racing for the quick run to pick us up a battery.

Sometimes you have to work for it. We started last at P14 and worked our way up to a P5 finish in a great field of drivers.
