The DJ started our song mid-track, not from the top like we'd drilled. As a director watching my own team in that moment, I felt every ounce of what we'd built together rise to the surface.

We had to sccan and process where we were in the music. Finally the muscle memory we built finally came into effect and we recovered.

Seeing everyone catch up, in real time, on a stage in front of people,and recover strongly... that's the proudest I think I've ever felt directing and dancing with the team. Especially this being the FIRSt dance performance for half of the members! It takes a lot of courage to get up on stage and perform to begin with. I'm extremely proud of how they handled the unexpected.🙌

Season 2 of Bachata Rising is officially underway. Catch us next at the Palms Oct 15th.

In CT, and needing to get outside your comfort zone?! Try learning bachata!

There's a version of me from a few years ago who thought you needed to already know how to dance before you could show up to something like this. That version of me was wrong, and honestly, a little too hard on herself. This is where you learn.

Café con Bachata is exactly the kind of night that proves it. Come grab a coffee, catch up with familiar faces, meet some new ones, and then let's move.

WE ARE TRYING SOMETHING NEW! 🥳 We're splitting the class into 30 minutes of beginner footwork and 30 minutes of intermediate technique, so wherever you're new or wantinga challenge, there's something for everyone. After that, the social dance takes over and the night is yours to dance to bachata with a splash of salsa y merengue.

Merengue is the perfect Intro to Latin Dance because of its simple steps and concepts. It still takes practice, but you can learn. If you're interested in learning bachata or salsa, Merengue will give a great foundation because it helps you learn to move your hips and understand weight transfers.

We invite you to learn Merengue with us starting Wednesday, Sept 2nd for 4 weeks.
