🏆 PLAY FOR HIS GLORY CHAMPIONS 🏆
Congratulations to our Havoc girls on earning the championship at the 1st Annual Play For His Glory!
A big thank you to the MisFits Organization for putting together a great day and, more importantly, intentionally building in moments that reminded everyone of the greater meaning behind the game.
One of the coolest parts of the day had nothing to do with softball. Watching multiple girls pick up Bibles on their own and seeing every athlete in attendance come together for a quick midday sermon was a great reminder that there are opportunities to teach and impact these young women far beyond what happens between the lines.
On the field, we definitely had to earn it. An extra-inning battle highlighted the day, our pitchers threw extremely well, and offensively we showed clutch plate discipline and delivered timely hits when we needed them.
A special congratulations to Lily McClain, who was recognized as an MVP by the opposing coaches. What made that recognition even better was that it wasn’t based solely on her performance on the field. They also recognized her attitude, sportsmanship, and the way she carried herself throughout the tournament.
