ActionTypes is coming back to Black Cat Fastpitch! 🥳

This time, there’s two way to learn! In true ActionTypes style, the needs of learner come first!

Going to the NFCA convention? We’re right down the road! Hang out with us Saturday - Tuesday, and then carry on to Atlantic City for more learning! The course will finish up with plenty of time to implement for your season. Coach Jen Mineau will be in attendance and available to help contextualize the ActionTypes method within the upcoming season!

➡️You can do the in-person segment (where we learn the exact details of how to profile & practice it) and then dive into the theory behind it remotely.

OR

➡️Start remotely with theory and then do your in person training 1 weekend in January. (We are still hammering down that date. We’re thinking either Jan 8-10 or Jan 15-17).

The goal is to help athletes and coaches and PEOPLE thrive within their own strengths. Respect and ethics are huge with this approach, and we never seek to use a motor profile to put someone in a box.

We use it to open the box 🎁✨

Anyone with a human body can benefit. 😂

Coach of any sport: come find out why mechanics vary so widely person to person. Or day to day on the same person! Find out what can change, what doesn’t, and how to best support your athletes

Physical therapists: HUGE implications for injury and recovery, expected ROM on different profiles, and best practices. Again….you know what you see. Everyone responds differently to different things.

Teachers: what if you could actually see behind the curtain and get a glimpse of how someone processes and learns? Even a little bit could help you with some of your stuck kids who struggle to get momentum in the classroom

CHARLOTTE FOWLER APPRECIATION POST!!

2031 Charlotte Fowler has been a staple behind the dish for us here since last year!

She started out jumping in to catch for high schoolers when nobody else was free. 12u catcher, catching kids years older than her, and THEY were the ones impressed.

Then summer hit and the college pitchers came home. Charlotte’s a 13 year old (almost 14), and she’s been catching D1/D2/D3 arms all summer. She’s sitting behind 62-70 with movement, and she hasn’t gotten outmatched once.

That’s not normal!! Most 12u catchers won’t get behind the plate for someone throwing that hard with movement, let alone someone pushing 10 years older than them. And it truly seems effortless for her!

When the call goes out on our “Catcher Needed” slack channel, we’re always pumped when Charlotte says yes!

If she’s caught for you this summer, give her some love in the comments. She’s earned it. 💕💕💕
